Parkinson’s New Zealand is a national charitable trust which provides high quality information, education and support for all people with Parkinson's and Parkinson’s Plus conditions living in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

Parkinson's New Zealand offers home visits, phone and video call support, support groups, advice, advocacy and whanāu meetings, seminars, webinars, website, monthly digital newsletters and social activities.

Family / whānau support

We also provide support and information for carers and families of people affected by Parkinson’s including support groups for carers in some regions. Educator Service

Our Parkinson's Educators provide information, education and support for people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's. A Parkinson’s Educator will initially visit you at your home or offer alternative options such as a phone or video call to answer any questions you or your whānau may have about the condition. Our Parkinson’s Educators can also provide referrals to other health professionals including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. Parkinson's Educators can also liaise with doctors and specialists. People who are diagnosed with Parkinson’s can complete a client referral form which is available at www.parkinsons.org.nz to receive our service.
