Our Kaupapa is to empower and support whānau-ora (wellness) for those who choose to live free from violence and abuse in all its forms.

Te Whare Oranga Wairua Māori Women's Refuge provides free and confidential services as listed below-

  • Intervention Services: Community Support and Advocacy - with Courts, Police, Immigration, Government social agencies such as Oranga Tamariki (OT); and Work and Income (WINZ) - Counselling - Alternative Healing
  • Crisis Intervention Services: - 24/7 Information & Advice - Assessment for entry into safe housing escaping or witnessing Domestic Violence - Residential Safe Housing 
  • Domestic Violence Education Programmes for Wahine, Tāne & Tamariki
  • 24/7 Crisis Line: 0800 Refuge - 0800 733 843 - Prompt response
