Description

Alison Derbyshire is a NZ Registered Hand Therapist with over 20 years of experience treating people with hand, wrist and elbow injuries and conditions.

Types of injuries and conditions treated include:

  • Acute trauma – fractures and dislocations at elbow, wrist, hand and thumb
  • Hypersensitivity
  • Scars and burns
  • Crush injuries and lacerations
  • Sprains and strains
  • Overuse injuries
  • Post-operative conditions – tendon/nerve repairs, Dupuytrens, arthritis, carpal tunnel release
  • Amputations
  • Arthritis

Alison Derbyshire is a NZ Registered Hand Therapist with over 20 years of experience treating people with hand, wrist and elbow injuries and conditions. Alison comes from Burlington Canada (near Toronto, on Lake Ontario), attended Queens University, McMaster University and the University of Toronto, gaining degrees in Lifescience and Occupational Therapy. ACC accepted claims: fully funded by ACC, no surcharge for appointment or splinting.

Private (non-ACC):
Initial appointment: $120
Follow-up appointment: $90
Splinting - additional charges may apply

Mon – Fri 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Sat 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Monday to Friday - by appointment
Saturday - walk in clinic (no appointment needed)

Public Holidays: Closed Good Friday (18 Apr), Easter Sunday (20 Apr), Easter Monday (21 Apr), ANZAC Day (25 Apr), King's Birthday (2 Jun), Matariki (20 Jun), Labour Day (27 Oct), Wellington Anniversary (19 Jan), Waitangi Day (6 Feb).

4hr free under cover parking is available for patrons of the North City Mall underneath New World, across the street.

Access from Hartham Place South and the Mall parking lot is via a covered, level  walkway with ramps at either end.

Pay and display parking is available along Lyttleton Avenue.
