Description
The Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ (PCF) is a registered charity and non government funded organisation.
The Foundation’s aims are to:
Educate the public about prostate cancer. We regularly attend events all over New Zealand to raise awareness of the dangers of prostate cancer and encourage men to seek early detection of the disease.
Support men diagnosed with prostate cancer. Men with prostate cancer have to make vitally important decisions about types of treatment. They may also have to make important lifestyle choices. To do this they need relevant and current information to help them make the decision that is best for them.
Men diagnosed with prostate cancer often need support and advice. We offer information including:
- treatment options available
- access to a network of prostate cancer support people
- access to a network of prostate cancer support groups.
0800 4 PROSTATE (0800 477 678) help line for those seeking advice:
- for those recently diagnosed
- for survivors of prostate cancer
- for general information about prostate cancer.
There are many different treatments for prostate disease and people need information about their choices so they can make decisions that are best for them.
Provide Research Funding PCF has an active research grant program and we actively fund prostate cancer research.
