Serving a broad geographical area from Hūkerenui in the South to Tāupo Bay in the North, and coast to coast, we are committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care that is entirely free of charge.
The majority of care provided by Hospice Mid Northland occurs in the person's home or Aged Care Facility. If required we can also support short periods of admission in the Hospice Inpatient Unit, though our wider team at North Haven Hospice in Whangārei.
At the heart of Hospice Mid Northland is our mission to enhance the quality of life of people with a life limiting illness by delivering comprehensive, person centred, dignified care that considers the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each individual. We take pride in our approach to care, recognising the unique needs of each person and tailoring our services accordingly.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of skilled nurses, medical support, a GP with a special interest, Nurse Practitioner (NP), Te Tumu Manaaki (cultural advisor), a social worker and many volunteers. We work collaboratively with the patient's primary care team, and other services within the health system and community.
