Community Health Service

Description

Discover the transformative power of ancient Māori healing at Native Wisdom, where the sacred energies of Te Hihiri, Te Whe and the guiding steps of the Poutama process come together to restore balance, harmony, and spiritual well-being.

We offer a culturally grounded approach to healing. Our mission is dedicated to empowering individuals to reconnect with their inner strength and live with purpose. Through a combination of Rongoā and Holistic Life Coaching, we offer a holistic, integrated approach to healing and personal development, helping clients navigate life’s challenges while improving their overall well-being.

At Native Wisdom, our kaupapa is grounded in the deep reverence for tikanga and kawa, ensuring that we honour the sacred principles of Tapu & Noa. We approach every part of our healing process with the utmost care and respect for its sanctity. Rooted in Te Ao Māori, our practices are designed to nurture the mauri (life force) in everything we do – from the products we create to the services we offer. With love and compassion at the heart of our work, we create a space that invites growth, healing, and restoration. We are here to uplift and empower our community, helping individuals build resilience, find balance, and experience a richer sense of well-being, all while nurturing a healthier and more connected future for all.

Services Provided

ACC Rongoā Māori

ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
