Pātea Standby

Community Health Service

Description

Pātea Standby volunteers help provide transport for the people of Pātea that can't otherwise get to their medical appointments.

They help people in the Pātea community get to their hospital, specialist and dental appointments in Hāwera, New Plymouth, Whanganui or destinations by arrangement.

This service is run by fantastic volunteers who give their own time to support the community from the phone call, making the booking and driving patients to and from their appointments.

We prefer 48 hours' notice to ensure we can find you a driver.

Donations are welcome and can be given on the day of your trip.
