Description
At The Women’s Clinic we provide safe and judgement free abortion and contraception services throughout New Zealand. We also provide access to education and information so that you are able to make an informed decision, allowing you to feel confident that you are making the best decision for you. The abortion option available to you will depend on both your gestation and your location within New Zealand. Our three options are listed below:
Telemed abortions are suitable if you are less than 10 weeks along and are designed for you to safely miscarry at home. You meet with our nurse over the phone, receive your pills in the post or collect them from your local pharmacy. You don’t need to visit us in clinic, so your whole journey is completed from where you feel comfortable. You can be located anywhere in New Zealand to receive a telemed medical abortion.
In-Clinic Medical abortions are suitable if you are less than 10 weeks along and are also designed so that you can safely miscarry at home. Your nurse consultation can be over the phone or in-person with us at either our Palmerston North or Invercargill Clinics. Surgical abortions are suitable if you are less than 15 weeks along and is a procedure performed by a licensed doctor at our Palmerston North or Invercargill Clinics.
