Description:
Wellington Rape Crisis provides immediate telephone assistance and support, email and one-on-one support to those who have been affected by sexual harm, recent or historic.
We offer the following:
- Counselling support - ACC and non-ACC
- Social Work support
- Advocacy - assistance liaising with Police, ACC, WINZ and medical professionals.
- Court support.
- Recurring group therapy program
- Information - resources and information packs and a free library service at our office.
- Referrals - we can refer to other services to find the most appropriate help, including male survivors and those with harmful sexual behaviours/thoughts.
- Education - community education workshops/seminars on the prevention of rape and sexual abuse.
