Care & Repair

This service takes away the worry of finding some reputable and affordable to carry out home repairs or personal care. We reference and police check providers - including gardeners, handypeople, hairdressers, cleaners, tradespeople - and can put older adults in touch with them.

Carer Relief Service

This is a service offered to full-time at-home carers who are looking after a loved one. The Needs Assessment Service can grant the carer some respite time, and we arrange for a trained volunteer to look after their family member in their home while they get some valuable time out.

Education and training

We run a number of workshops aimed at older drivers: Staying Safe, which is a short refresher of the Road Rules; Life Without a Car workshop is for those thinking of giving up driving (or who have given up) to explore how they can continue to get around and remain socially connected; and CarFit, which is an AA programme that shows older drivers how to be 'fitted' as safely and comfortably in their car as possible.

Total Mobility Scheme

We administer this scheme on behalf of the local councils, which entitles people aged 65+ who have given up driving for health reasons to reduced taxi fares. Contact us to find out the criteria and how to be assessed.
