Description

All of our services are focused on relationship building and are community-based.

Our parent education programmes are provided across South Auckland.

  • Hoki ki te Rito-Oranga Whānau, Mellow Parenting is for parents and children experiencing relationship difficulties where attachment issues may exist for parents of children 0-5 years old.  
  • Mellow Ability - 14 weeks of sessions for parents who have young children with additional support needs. 
  • Incredible Years for parents of children 3-8 years old.
  • Incredible Years Autism.
  • Poipoia Ngā Mokopuna/Mellow Bumps, an antenatal attachment based programme followed by a 10-week per term 1st 1000 day group for parents and babies.
  • More Than Words for parents and whānau of children with social communication difficulties

Our early intervention support service for children with special needs and their whānau is provided in the home and in kohanga reo and early childhood centres in Tamaki Makaurau.

Referral

We accept agency referrals and direct inquiries from parents and whānau members. We have found that many parents are recommended by family or friends who have used our services.  All inquiries are welcome. Children with high and very high developmental needs meet our criteria for our early intervention services.

We provide professional development for the Education Support Workers we employ. We are open to negotiating professional development where required to support staff teams, whānau and respite carers.
