Description

(SIAOLA) is a Social Service committed to empowering, strengthening and supporting Tongan families to thrive, be successful and safe.

Our Family Support Service involves:

  • Famili Vā Lelei: Family Wellbeing Programmes which address family violence and child abuse
  • Family Wellbeing Navigators: Social service support for vulnerable families 
  • Strengthening Youth and their Families: The clinic team are focussed on supporting young boys and their families to be resilient and to strengthen their home lives to counter being exposed to at risk and dangerous environments.
  • Drivers Licensing Programme: The licensing team support individuals that needs learners, restricted or full licence. Workshop and driving lessons available with the team. 
  • Storm Recovery: Siaola is in partnership with Auckland Council to support families who were affected by the storm events last year 2023.

Famili ‘Api Lelei-Financial Wellbeing: We provide a culturally appropriate financial service that educates and journeys with Tongan families, supporting them to budget, save, invest and eventually buy homes.

Famili Taulua-Bilingualism: Together with the local community, youth and Tongan Language Nests, we celebrate Tongan language week on an annual basis, supporting cultural identity.
