Description

Tauawhi Men’s Centre is a drop-in centre for men, offering social work, non-violence programmes, counselling and advocacy support. The vision for the centre is to provide an obvious place for men to access the help and contribute to positive change for them and their whānau.

We work to acknowledge and protect mana tangata. This means that we will respect rights of choice, self-determination and tino rangatiratanga.

We also host services of Tauawhi Trust that include peer support for male survivors of sexual abuse and counselling for addiction issues.

Abuse and violence support

Our counsellor has experience in working with anger management, relationships, abuse, addictions, and depression, as well as grief and loss issues. We offer an Open Men's Group on a weekly basis.
