Weekly get-togethers for over 65s providing fun, advice and support.

Join us for a cup of tea and a chat with friends old and new. Enjoy games, a bit of gentle exercise, laughter and good times. 

The Selwyn Foundation, Selwyn Centres offer social activities, gentle exercise, a varied events programme, laughter and fun, morning (or afternoon) tea, and practical advice.

The small charge to attend our centres goes towards refreshments, activities and running costs. Some centres also offer lunch or transport (for a small additional fee or donation).

Fees and Charges Description

The cost of attending a Selwyn Centre is usually between $3 - $5 per session and, if a meal is provided, it  usually costs $6 or less. Transport may be arranged to and from some centres for a small donation.

Hours

Most centres open between 9.30am till 1pm. Centres operate on different days during the week. Contact us to find out more.

Social and group activities

For older people Selwyn Centres provide a chance to get out and socialise. For caregivers, especially those providing care to those with mild dementia, this is a chance for a break (note: the Centres are not suitable for people with advanced dementia).
