Gemma is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working as part of the Complete Gynaecology group. She trained in the UK with a special interest in Urogynaecology and vaginal surgery. Gemma moved to New Zealand in 2020 and works as a Consultant at Hutt Valley DHB.

She has a friendly but professional approach and aims to modify treatment depending on the severity of symptoms and patients’ personal preferences.

Appointments can be made to discuss a range of Gynaecological conditions including the following:

• Vaginal prolapse
• Urinary incontinence
• Menstrual disorders
• Ovarian cysts
• Fibroids
• Pelvic pain and endometriosis
• Menopausal symptoms
• Fertility investigations

She can perform hysteroscopic procedures including removal of polyps and fibroids, and endometrial ablation; laparoscopic procedures (keyhole surgery) including removal of ovarian cysts, treatment of endometriosis, hysterectomy and prolapse surgery; vaginal surgery for prolapse including hysterectomy and vaginal repairs; continence procedures including non-mesh techniques (urethral bulking), mid-urethral slings and Botox®. Gemma offers office procedures such as endometrial sampling and insertion of Mirena IUS. She does not perform colposcopy.
