Jim graduated from Otago University in 1981. After hospital training in Whakatāne, the United Kingdom and Auckland he entered general practice in Whakatāne in 1986.
He enjoys working in a supportive family atmosphere at Phoenix Health. He has an active interest in child health, health for the elderly and skin cancer surgery.
Outside of work, he enjoys trying to stay fit on his mountain bike, languages, painting and travel
