Dr Janice Chen

Janice is a Consultant General Surgeon at Waikato Public Hospital. She graduated from Auckland Medical School in 2008 and completed her general surgery training in New Zealand.  She underwent further subspecialty training in Endocrine surgery for one year, then went abroad for a fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery at the Paris Breast Centre, as well as a fellowship in Sarcoma surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

Janice's elective practise consists of most general surgical procedures with a special interest in endocrine conditions affecting the thyroid gland, benign and malignant breast conditions as well as surgical oncology.
