Following my graduation in Germany, 1996, I worked as a GP in the UK, obtaining the JCTPGP. In 2008 I immigrated to New Zealand, where I obtained the FRNZCGP and worked as a specialist GP at Gore Medical Centre.

I have always been interested in skin cancer medicine and surgery and started to work as a GPSI for minor surgery when it was first established. Since then I have expanded my knowledge and skills and obtained the advanced skin cancer and dermoscopy certificates from the SCCA (Skin Cancer College Australasia). I am an accredited skin cancer doctor since 2019 and member of the SCCA and NZSCD (New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors Society). Since the launch of the WellSouth GPSI skin lesion excision program in 2021 I have worked as one their 3 triaging doctors.

• Early diagnosis and surgical management of skin lesions, particularly enjoy the practical aspects, including flaps and grafts.
• Vasectomy, which I have been performing for the last 5 years.
