I was born in Rotorua and went to Otago University where I completed my medical degree in 1989. I continued my post graduate training in Australia and the United Kingdom, returning to New Zealand with post graduate qualifications in General Practice and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
I am married with three school age children and enjoy family time, the outdoors, films and books.
I have been working in General Practice for eighteen years and my special interests are Paediatrics and disease prevention.
