Special interests in endoscopic management of large colonic polyps, dysplastic Barrett's oesophagus, gastrointestinal strictures and fistulae.
Practices in general gastroenterology and hepatology including viral hepatitis.
Accepted as International Scholar in Interventional Endoscopy at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco under Dr Ken Binmoeller, one of the USA’s leading therapeutic endoscopists, starting April 2011.
My intention is to establish a world-class endoscopic ultrasound service in Wellington.
Special expertise in the endoscopic management of large colonic polyps to prevent the need for surgery, complicated and previously failed colonoscopy, dysplastic Barrett's oesophagus, gastrointestinal strictures and fistulae. Uses water-assisted colonoscopy to reduce or eliminate the need for patient sedation.

Trained in Gastroenterology at Christchurch Hospital, completed Hepatology Fellowship at Freeman Hospital Liver Transplant Unit, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and Advanced Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco.
