Dr Sylvia Wu

Dr Wu trained in medicine and gastroenterology in New Zealand, and she is currently working as a consultant gastroenterologist at Hutt Hospital. She has undertaken one year of fellowship at National Cancer Centre in Tokyo Japan in the area of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early gastrointestinal cancers, and also spent time in academic hospitals in Taiwan advancing knowledge in liver diseases. She is fluent in Mandarin, and can speak basic Japanese.

She performs diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy and interprets wireless capsule endoscopy studies. Consultation covers any gastrointestinal symptoms, and management of  gastrointestinal diseases.
