Profile

Dr Andrew Wilson has been a General Practitioner and Hospital Doctor in Ōamaru for twenty-five years. He is the owner of the North End Health Centre and Junction Doctors. His passion is working with patients of all ages to improve their health outcomes.

After completing four years of postgraduate training in General Practice Andrew has gone on to obtain qualifications in Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Planning, Industrial and Sports Medicine. He also has a special interest in Minor Surgery.

As well as running his practice, Andrew has worked part time in the Emergency Department and Orthopaedics Department of Ōamaru Hospital for 18 years.He is currently a director of The Waitaki District Hospital Services Ltd.

Andrew is both a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of GPs and Senior lecturer at the Otago School of Medicine.He is available for appointments for current and new patients mornings at the North End and afternoons at Junction Doctors. When not working, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and tennis.
