Born in Scotland, Tanya qualified at Aberdeen University in 1991, and attained her Membership of the College of General Practice (UK) in 1995.

Tanya worked as a Principal GP in both England and Scotland for many years before becoming an Emergency Medical Practitioner working in Accident and Emergency and Out of Hours general practice. Tanya has an interest in family planning and minor surgery as well as urgent care.

Tanya is married, with one teenage daughter. She and her family have recently moved from Scotland to Auckland and are looking forward to enjoying their new life in New Zealand.

In her spare time Tanya loves to relax by taking long beach walks with her dog
