Clendon Family Health Centre was opened in 2001 after two years of planning and work. We are very proud of the end result, which is a beautiful and functional new centre housing three doctors, three locums plus a registrar. We also have three practice nurses, three receptionists, a practice manager and a pharmacy.
Clendon is a young suburb to the west of Manurewa and on the edge of the Manukau Harbour in South Auckland. It has a mixed population with a large proportion of Māori and Pacific people as well as quite a few immigrant families from Asia. There are also a number of elderly patients from the nearby village in Weymouth and a residential complex for intellectually handicapped adults provides plenty of challenges in patient care.
We are seeking to provide a high quality service in superb facilities to a community with a large proportion of high needs patients.
