Description

The Kawakawa Medical Centre & Moerewa Medical Services have joined together and are now known as Te Ara Tu o Ngāti Hine we are a part of the Ngāti Hine Health Trust.

The Ngāti Hine Health Trust (NHHT) is a Māori Health Provider that delivers a range of clinical, health promotion, disability, education and social services. 

The Te Ara Tu o Ngāti Hine are a Whānau centered clinic offering a full range of general practice services to you and your Whānau.

We are located at the Bay of Islands Hospital, Hospital Road, Main Entrance and 44 Main Road Moerewa.

This practice is welcoming new patients to enrol.

What does "enrolling" mean?


To register you are required to complete and sign an enrolment form and provide ID, either a drivers licence, birth certificate or passport. Other photo ID may be accepted. This also includes identification for children who are enroling under a parent or guardian i.e. birth certificate. Proof of guardianship is also required. 
Please contact our Administration team to dicuss the enrolment process and what this entails.

Phone GP practice and follow instructions. You will be transferred to an after hours service who will direct you

Te Ara Tu o Ngāti Hine main clinic is located at the Bay of Islands Hospital, Kawakawa (on the hospital grounds). Reception is located at the hospital's Main Entrance. We operate 5 days a week Mon-Fri with a GP.

Te Ara Tu o Ngāti Hine Moerewa is our Satellite Clinic and operates 3 days per week Tue, Wed, Friday with a GP. We are located at 44 Main Road Moerewa. 

 

Parking

Please park in the car parks to the front of the hospital or the side road coming up the hospital grounds. Those with disabilities can park near the entrance or can be dropped to the front entrance, wheelchairs are available if required.
