Description

We provide an excellent health care service to the community of Central Southland.

After Hours

  • If urgent you can contact Te Hau o Te Ora on 0800 456 138, Clyde Street, Invercargill.          6-9pm Monday to Friday and from 12-4pm on weekends – Saturday and Sunday – and public holidays
  • If you live in Winton (or near surrounds) or are visiting someone here, you may be eligible to use the Ka Ora After Hours Rural Telehealth Service.  Ph 0800 252 672 or visit their website kaora.co.nz 

Winton enjoys the benefits of-having a base hospital nearby at Invercargill. 

The practice services a small rest home, and serves as a teaching practice for Otago University medical students, GP Registrar and Nursing Students.

We also work in conjunction with District Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Podiatrists located next door to our premises.

You must be living in Winton or immediate surrounds and either;
- have an immediate family member enrolled,
- or not be enrolled with a GP elsewhere.

Hours

Mon – Fri 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

After hours: We partner with Ka Ora Telecare to provide same day virtual GP appointments for enrolled patients, as an extension of our regular medical centre team.  

Ka Ora is available weekdays from 5pm to 8.30am and 24/7 weekends/public holidays.
