Angela Toemen

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Angela studied and worked as a Hand Therapist in the UK, working at Chelsea and Westminster followed by St Thomas’ NHS Hospitals. She treated chronic and acute trauma and post surgical injuries. Angela also conducted research and has published papers on metacarpal fractures and wrist strength post trauma.

Angela currently works at the Handworks Axis and Unisports Medicine clinic in St Johns, and has been involved in developing an educational tool for FIFA on hand and wrist injuries. She is also a lecturer at AUT on the post graduate Hand Therapy programme.
