Dr Richard Troughton

Richard is a consultant cardiologist at Christchurch Hospital and with the Christchurch Heart Group. He also holds an academic appointment as Professor in Medicine at the University of Otago, Christchurch, and is actively involved in ongoing cardiovascular research and teaching.

Richard has sub-specialty interests in cardiac imaging and echocardiography. He undertook his specialty training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the United States, and he has ongoing clinical and research collaboration with colleagues in both the United States and Europe.
