We are a community based Day Activity Centre for older adults who have an experience of mental illness. We provide programmes and an environment aimed at promoting socialisation, independence and recovery.

Programmes run to the 4 term school year, with breaks in between terms.
Public Holidays: Closed Good Friday (18 Apr), Easter Sunday (20 Apr), Easter Monday (21 Apr), ANZAC Day (25 Apr), King's Birthday (2 Jun), Matariki (20 Jun), Labour Day (27 Oct), Auckland Anniversary (26 Jan), Waitangi Day (6 Feb).

The programme at Golden Glen is designed to cater to all abilities and interests. Activities are designed to maintain independence, maintain current skills, develop new skills and provide opportunities for social engagement. Activities include regular outings to engage with the community and explore our beautiful city, varied arts and crafts and educational opportunities such as learning about technology. The programme also includes many opportunities to engage in physical activity, spend time building new friendships and, most of all, have some fun. Whānau / family or key cultural support people are welcome to attend all meetings and / or planning activities. If you have particular cultural needs, staff can also access appropriate support upon entry to service.

This service is for individuals 65 years and over, who are already involved in mental health services.
