Alexandra Family Medical offers a wide range of regular and urgent health care services. A team of general practitioners, nurses and administration staff work from the Central Lodge historical building in Alexandra, providing professional healthcare to you and your family.

Fees are effective from 14 October 24. Additional charges may apply for multiple or extended appointment times.  Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
DNA (did not attend) charge of $25 applies if an appointment is not cancelled within 1 hour of your appointment time.
Fees for visiting patients differ and are payable before seeing the Clinician. Please ask reception should you wish to enquire. Payment for all visiting patients is required before seeing the clinician.

Hours

Mon – Fri 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Regular appointments are available Mo-Fri from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with either a GP or a Practice Nurse. We do not accept appointment bookings via email so please call our reception or book online through Health365.

For urgent but non-life-threatening concerns, you can walk into the practice Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Please be aware that this service is strictly for urgent cases and no other concerns will be addressed.

If you require same-day assistance for non-urgent matters, please call our reception to schedule an appointment with one of our clinical staff.

After hours: We partner with Ka Ora Telecare to provide same day virtual GP appointments for enrolled patients, as an extension of our regular medical centre team.  

Ka Ora Telecare is available weekdays from 5pm to 8.30am and 24/7 weekends/public holidays.

 For urgent acute care during weekends or public holidays in Alexandra, residents and visitors can visit the urgent care centre at 105-107 Tarbet Street.

We are closed on weekends and all Public Holidays including Christmas and New Year.
