Dr Keong Hoh grew up in Malaysia and pursued medical studies in Sydney in the 1990s. That was a very fruitful time for him as he learned to get along with peers of multiple cultures and made lifelong friends. Dr Hoh returned to work in Malaysia for three years before moving to Dunedin to study and work in psychiatry in 2003; achieving Fellowship in 2016.
Dr Hoh chose to move to general practice in 2019 as this had been an area of interest for him, especially when his beloved mother passed away of cancer in 2012. As a result he had the chance to work as a locum in busy practices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr Hoh loves all areas of general practice and especially seeing people from different cultures and older people.
Besides English, Dr Hoh can speak Malay, Cantonese and a little Mandarin. He is passionate about integrating holistic practice in the way a patient is helped to heal.
