I am a New Zealand trained specialist Endocrine and General Surgeon.

My public practice is busy with both Endocrine and General Surgery work at Wellington Hospital where I receive local and regional referrals for sub-specialty care across the full range of endocrine surgery procedures.

I provide general surgical care of the highest quality for hernia, gallbladder and other core general surgical conditions.

Thyroid

Thyroid nodules, ultrasound guided FNA, surgery for malignant and non-malignant thyroid disease including lymph node dissections

Most thyroid assessments include ultrasound and where necessary I perform FNA at the same visit to streamline patient care

Thyroidectomy for Graves’ disease including discussion of the appropriateness of this therapy as primary management

Diagnosis, treatment and review
Minimally invasive and bilateral parathyroid surgery including the work-up and organisation of localisation studies

Investigation and surgery for adrenal incidentalomas, functional and non-functional adrenal tumours

My specialist training in endocrine surgery was carried out in Sheffield, UK a centre which received referrals from throughout the UK. I also spent a period of time observing endocrine surgery in a tertiary centre in northern France.
