Doctor Morné du Plessis has over 20 years' experience diagnosing and treating skin cancer in the Bay of Plenty.
Morné completed his medical degree in South Africa before moving to New Zealand in 1997.
He has been working in the Bay of Plenty since 1997. Starting initially at Whakatāne Hospital, he then transferred to Tauranga Hospital where he worked as a Surgical and Orthopaedic registrar. He then started General Practice taking all those surgical skills with him. Morné has obtained a Masters of Medicine (MMed) Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland, and is currently credentialed to do skin cancer surgery for the WBOP PHO up to Advanced Plus level.
