In addition to the above medical qualifications, Cameron Lewis also has the following dental qualifications:

BDS 1991 Otago; MDS (OMFS) 2005 Otago.

Cameron completed his dental degree (BDS) from Otago in 1991. Following this he worked in both hospital and private general practice for several years.

He later returned to Otago to commence specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery, gaining his medical degree (MB ChB) and masters degree (MDS) in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2005. The following year Cameron worked as a general medical house surgeon at Auckland Hospital and completed his training in the Specialty working for several years as a senior registrar at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.

He gained his Australasian Fellowship (FRACDS) in Brisbane in 2008.

Cameron practices the entire scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery however his special interests include the management of orbital and midface trauma, orthognathic surgery and bone augmentation for dental implants.

He currently holds a consultant post in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Middlemore Hospital.
