Dr Leanne Parasram

Dr. Leanne Parasram completed her postgraduate specialization in psychiatry at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2014. She then worked in both public and private healthcare settings in Cape Town until relocating to New Zealand in 2019. During her time in Cape Town, Dr. Parasram also served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town and was involved in postgraduate examinations for the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.

Dr. Parasram is an affiliate member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She holds an Honorary Lecturer position at the University of Auckland and is an accredited supervisor for postgraduate psychiatric fellowship trainees.

In New Zealand, Dr. Parasram has worked with Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, providing care in both inpatient and community settings. Her clinical interests include the treatment of adult ADHD, maternal mental health, and the management of depressive and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Parasram takes a holistic approach to treatment, working collaboratively with her patients to develop personalized medication regimens that enhance their functioning in academic, professional, and social environments.
