Whatever It Takes Trust (WIT) is a peer support organisation for mental health and addiction consumers who live in Hawke's Bay. We deliver a range of services to assist with the recovery of people experiencing mental health and addiction difficulties by partnering and come alongside to help move towards wellness and living independently in our community.
Most of our services, including all of our staffed residential services, are based in Napier. We support our clients through our peer support service and the two Lighthouses which are our drop-in centres that operate in Napier and Hastings. WIT also provides consumer advocacy, day activity programmes, an Outreach Centre for the homeless, and social connection for mental health and addictions clients across Hawkes Bay.
One of the services that has evolved at WIT is the provision of social housing with WIT now being a registered Social Housing Provider.

We have a diverse staff made up of clinical and non clinical roles with at least 80% who have lived experience of mental health and/or addiction. Our team are able to empathise with our clients, understand their struggles and the difficulties they experience in their recovery journey.
