Description

At Te Korowai Trust, proudly located in Whakatū (Nelson), we are committed to empowering whānau through a holistic, kaupapa Māori approach. Our wide range of services includes financial capability building, the Maara Kai programme, access to social workers, guidance from Kairangahau ā-Whānau, and dedicated support through Whānau Ora and Mokopuna Ora Navigators.

We recognize that reaching out for help can sometimes be daunting, so we bring our services directly to you with a mobile support option. This ensures you can receive assistance in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. While we primarily focus on serving Māori whānau, our doors and hearts are open to everyone, from Atawhai to Brightwater across the Nelson region. Visiting us in person is always an option too if that works better for you.

Guided by our motto, "tātou tātou," we embrace inclusivity and celebrate the shared journey of supporting and uplifting all members of our community. Our mission is to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to flourish and thrive.

Staff

Our team at Te Korowai Trust consists of specially trained and dedicated professionals, each bringing their unique backgrounds and personal experiences to our work. We use this rich diversity of knowledge to guide our approach, ensuring that our support is both effective and deeply attuned to the needs of the whānau we serve.
