Dr Erich Kusel

Dr Erich Kusel attended Otago Medical School obtaining his MbChB in 1982 and FRNZCGP in 1989. Dr Kusel worked in General Practice from 1998 till 2018.

From 2010 he has been more actively involved in dermatology, in particular the detection and management of skin cancer. Dr Kusel undertook further study and has gained the Diploma in Dermatology from the Australian Institute of Dermatology and the Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Kusel has been a provider skin cancer surgery at the Plastics Department Hutt Hospital since 2008. Dr Erich Kusel is also available for skin cancer checks and surgery at our Skin Institute Wellington clinic and on occasions at Skin Institute Richmond branch in Nelson.
