Referral Process
Most Higher Ground clients refer themselves, although we do take referrals from family, friends, other drug and alcohol agencies, doctors, lawyers and probation officers. We encourage clients to make the referral themselves as taking personal responsibility is an important step.
Clients are admitted to the service only after a comprehensive assessment process that ascertains the programmes suitability to the clients needs.
We can only admit New Zealand residents who fall into the following categories:
- People who live in Waitemata, Auckland or Counties Manukau and Waikato DHB areas can phone us to arrange an assessment on 09 834 0042
- People who live elsewhere in New Zealand and who have a problem with methamphetamine can phone us to arrange an assessment on 09 834 0042.
