The Primary Mental Health Service includes both mental health and alcohol and other drug responses in primary care, for people who can be appropriately supported in that setting. The Service includes general practice liaison, brief interventions (up to 5 with a brief intervention coordinator), an intensive clinical service for young people, access to psychology services, extended consultations with a GP or practice nurse, and targeted GP consultations for people with a serious mental health condition, and youth aged 14-24 years. This Service can assist people with concerns such as anxiety, low mood, stress management, relationships and adjusting to work and life challenges.
