Description

Te Whare Huinga - Junction Peer Support is a community-based service dedicated to providing peer support for individuals living with mental health or addiction. What sets Junction apart is its unique approach, as the service is staffed by individuals who have firsthand, lived experience with recovery. This means that the support offered is not only professional but also empathetic, collaborative, and genuine. Junction Peer Support aims to foster a sense of community and empowerment by running recovery groups, where participants can share their experiences and strategies for healing. Additionally, the service offers a variety of social activities, including walking groups and coffee and chat gatherings, to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for those seeking support and connection while on their mental health or addiction recovery journeys.
