Koputai Lodge provides long term residential support, planned respite and community support services.
Koputai Lodge is a small not for profit organisation that is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board is made up of members from the Port Chalmers community along with a representative from the Lodge.
Free
No fees apply for planned adult respite or community support services.

Koputai Lodge provides accommodation and support in a semi-rural setting, for seven permanent people with a psychiatric diagnosis. The Trust offers a family atmosphere in which people receiving support are encouraged to develop their individual skills and inner resources.

To access this service for the first time, referral must come via Needs Assessment from an approved organisation. These include Te Whatu Ora Southern - Mental Health Needs Assessment & Service Co-ordination Service Synergy Wellness and Kakakura Health Services . The Needs Assessment will establish eligibility for entry and duration of stay.

A quiet and restful place to come for respite. Providing great food and company with close proximity to cafes, galleries and bush walks. All food, linen and toiletries are provided.

A van service to town is also provided for people on a regular basis.
