Te Aka Hono Tahi - Single Point of Entry for Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Te Aka Hono Tahi (via Ngaa Ringa Awhina) is the contracted Single Point of Entry into child and adolescent mental health services in the Hamilton Central Cluster. Te Aka Hono Tahi undertakes screening of children and young people where there are concerns about their mental health, behaviour and any other co-existing problems (CEP). Following an assessment, where indicated, Te Aka Hono Tahi will on-refer the young person and their whānau to the most appropriate specialist service. If specialist services are not required, Te Aka Hono Tahi will suggest other services which may better meet whānau needs. In addition, Te Aka Hono Tahi provides consult liaison support services to professionals working in the Hamilton Central region.

Te Aka Hono Tahi accepts referrals from a wide range of sources including but not limited to GPs, schools and self-referrals.  We service the Greater Hamilton region.

Description

Te Aka Hono Tahi (via Ngaa Ringa Awhina) is the contracted Single Point of Entry into child and adolescent mental health services in the Hamilton Central Cluster. Te Aka Hono Tahi undertakes screening of children and young people where there are concerns about their mental health, behaviour and any other co-existing problems (CEP).

Te Ara Kaupare Youth Forensic Service - Midlands

Te Ara Kaupare Youth Forensic Services operates across the Midlands region as a Specialist NASC under the umbrella of Ngaa Ringa Awhina. Te Ara Kaupare provides court liaison services as well as court based mental health/alcohol and drug screenings for rangatahi who have matters before the court. Where appropriate, and with consent of the young person/rangatahi and their whānau, Te Ara Kaupare will on refer to appropriate support services. Te Ara Kaupare also provides treatment service into Te Maioha o Parekarangi Youth Justice Facility (Rotorua).

Te Ara Kaupare Youth Forensic Services operates across the Midlands region as a Specialist NASC under the umbrella of Ngaa Ringa Awhina. Te Ara Kaupare provides court liaison services as well as court based mental health/alcohol and drug screenings for rangatahi who have matters before the court.

Toka Tu Mataara a kaupapa Māori adult court liaison service. We provide support and assistance for whānau who may be experiencing mental health issues and who have matters before the court. We also provide consult liaison support and specialist advice to professionals associated with the court.

Description

Toka Tu Mataara a kaupapa Māori adult court liaison service.  We provide support and assistance for whānau who may be experiencing mental health issues and who have matters before the court.  We also provide consult liaison support and specialist advice to professionals associated with the court.
