Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora
Mental Health Service, Kaupapa Māori
Today
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Description
Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora is a kaupapa Māori residential service, funded by Capital & Coast District Health Board to provide housing and recovery interventions.
Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora receives all referrals through the Needs Assessment Coordination Service (NASC) within Capital & Coast DHB.
With changes currently occurring, Māori contracts will be moved into The Māori Health Authority. It is certainly an exciting time for us.
Tangata motuhake are in this whare long term as they have nowhere else to live and have high and complex needs that require 24 hour supervision, medication support and interaction within the community.
Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora ensures that all Tangata motuhake are treated equally and accommodate for the different ethnic groups, as it is not just Māori referred and we have Pacifica and non Māori.
