Families are the unsung heroes out there, trying to support their loved family member, and we are the ones caring for them and helping them along that path. Our family support workers offer confidential guidance and navigation through mental health services, advocacy and education, through individual/family meetings and/or a number of different programmes for both individuals and groups, plus support groups. Our service covers both Christchurch and the greater Canterbury Region. Support staff are also available to talk with you on the phone during working hours. Men's support group A support group for men who have a loved one with mental health challenges. A place for guys to connect, talk and work on skills around handling pressure, stress and responsibility. Ages 18+ Contact Mark or Christos Parenting Youth Support Group A support group for parents of teenagers and young adults (14-25) experiencing mental illness. Family Support Group A support group for anyone with a loved one experiencing mental illness or mental distress.

If you would like more information, or you’re not sure and would just like to talk to someone, contact one of the Yellow Brick Roads friendly support staff by phone or email. They will help with one-to-one support, information about the mental health system, education programmes and help to advocate for you and your whānau. There is no charge for our service.
