Stop Smoking and Smokefree Pregnancy Incentives Programme

West Coast DHB provides inpatient and outpatient support for patients, or anyone in the West Coast, wanting help to quit. Smokefree cessation advisors are employed by Grey Base and Buller Hospitals. Greymouth cessation advisor is based in the Cowper Hub, Greymouth, and the Buller cessation advisor is based in Dunsford Ward at Buller Hospital. They provide face to face support and NRT onsite and home visits if required. Appointments and sessions are flexible to suit client need. Appointment times are within normal working hours during the week and can be scheduled as often as required. Support is usually on a one-to-one basis and partners are welcome. Further groups can be facilitated if requested. Smokefree Pregnancy Incentives Programme Are you pregnant and wanting help to stop smoking? This 12-week programme provides you with ongoing support to quit and NRT (if needed) PLUS New World vouchers for every week you stay smokefree. You can gain smokefree rewards of up to $300 while on this programme – and a further $50 voucher if you are smokefree two weeks after baby is born. The incentives programme has now been extended to cover smokefree support for the first four months after the baby is born.
