Mr Vipul Upadhyay

Mr Vipul Upadhyay is a general paediatric surgeon and paediatric urologist, and a hypospadiologist (specialist in hypospadias surgery). His special interest and experience is in complex reconstructive paediatric urology.

• First one to qualify in paediatric surgery from both continents, the UK and Australasia, holding FRCSEd (Paediatric Surgery); FRACS (Paediatric Surgery).                

• Emeritus Supervisor of surgical training for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

• Hon. Senior Lecturer, Department of Paediatrics, University of Auckland.

• Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

• 2003 Recipient of WILTON HENLEY MEMORIAL FELLOWSHIP; a prestigious Fellowship given to one NZ clinician every couple of years.

• Member of the NZ Society of Paediatric Surgeons.

• Member of the NZ Medical Association.

• Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.
