He has experience with treating complex hernias including laparoscopic management of these. Currently David is involved in Hernia education and training, including educational talks and hosting clinical immersions at Ormiston Hospital. He has an interest in robotic surgery and is involved in the development of robotic hernia surgery in New Zealand.
