Profile

Dr Monica Saini is an internationally recognised expert experienced in clinical practice as well as the medical industry. Her medical career started with nursing and it’s this foundation that enabled her to develop a deep connection with patients.  Through this experience, she has mastered the art of transparent and compassionate communication as a U.S. trained breast radiologist.

Her clinical insights from 10 years of patient care experience have been instrumental to companies such as GE Healthcare, Worldwide Clinical and Proscan. As previous Medical Director of Automated Breast Ultrasound for GE Healthcare, Dr Saini’s international work involved physician and patient education, breast cancer research, and product development.

In 2017, Dr Saini and her family relocated to New Zealand. She is currently focused on public sector breast health in Breast Screen Aotearoa. She continues to focus on patient needs and clinical care at Hutt Valley District Health Board and as an advisor to the Breast Cancer New Zealand Foundation.
