MB ChB 2003 Otago; FRANZCOG 2014

I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist that has recently started working with Auckland Gynaecology Group. I completed medical school training at Otago in 2003, and obtained FRANZCOG in 2014. During my training, I developed a passion for advanced gynaecological surgery.

I moved to Sydney in 2013 and completed 2 fellowships at St Vincent’s Hospital and Liverpool Hospital in advanced gynaecological surgery, in particular advanced laparoscopic surgery. Whilst in Sydney, I’ve worked with some of Sydney’s leading gynaecologists in the fields of urogynaecology, advanced gynaecological laparoscopic surgery and gynaecological oncology. My advanced training has helped me gain a deeper understanding of female pelvic anatomy and techniques in managing, at times, complex cases safely and effectively.

My gynaecological interests are broad. I am interested in helping women with menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic masses arising from the uterus and ovaries as well as cervical abnormalities. I also perform prophylactic removal of ovaries and fallopian tubes for women with BRCA gene inheritance, and transposition of ovaries for women that require radiation treatment for cervical cancer.

I strive to perform most of my major abdominal operations laparoscopically as this will enable women to return to normal activities as soon as possible after their procedures.
